Re: Black Rock Rendezvous, May 24 - 26, 2008
Wed, April 30, 2008 - 9:02 PMSounds like a good time to me. I did a few clean ups a few years ago with the BLM and I was really amazed at the beauty out there. It's one thing to visit Black Rock City and a much more impressive venture to get out and see the Black Rock Desert. -

Thu, May 1, 2008 - 9:33 AM"Black Rock Pint" sounds like something you'd get at Great Basin Brewery.
Should've been Black Rock Point, of course.
Also, Stanford has cancelled their balloon launch, but there will be several day- and night-time rocket launches. -

Thu, May 1, 2008 - 11:55 PMWell, I have to say, Metric, that you offer something that most people don't get to see--the beauty of the area you represent. I wish I could be there. The plus side of what you offer is a safe passage--as divine as the desert is out there, it's better experienced with a group that can give you a little back up if you have any trouble. Shit, man, you been out there longer than most and know that.
But I still want a black rock pint. -

Pints
Sat, May 3, 2008 - 3:40 PMIn fact, we have kegs of beer donated by Great Basin Brewery, Ruby Mountian, and some place in Truckee. So we will indeed have points in the Black Rock, but not at Black Rock Point.
