Subject: Press Release - 5/6/08 - Google Censorship

PRG

Press Release
Google Censorship

Washington, DC - On April 30 PRG
published an Open Letter to Senator
Hillary Clinton regarding Laurance
Rockefeller's effort from March of 1993
through 1996 to convince her husband to
release all government held files
pertaining to UFOs and extraterrestrial
life. This letter was published to the
websites for PRG, American Chronicle,
OpEd News and the National Ledger. It
was also sent out to approximately 5000
television, radio, internet and print
media.

PRG web location for the Open Letter at:
www.paradigmresearchgroup.org/Open_Lette
r_Clinton-Hillary.htm

PRG watched carefully as the pages
holding this open letter moved quickly
up the search engine results at Google
and Yahoo based on these search
criteria:

open letter to Senator Hillary Clinton
open letter to Senator Clinton open
letter to Hillary Clinton

Within 36 hours the PRG and American
Chronicle Open Letter to Senator Hillary
Clinton were at or near the top of both
the Google and Yahoo search results.

At that time the Google search returns
for the Open Letter to Senator Hillary
Clinton published by PRG were stripped
(or blocked) from the Google search
results. Fortunately, this did not
take place with the Yahoo search
results.

Efforts by PRG to reach Google to
determine why this had happened have
been fruitless.

Blocking the Google search engine from
listing the web pages which contain the
PRG Open Letter to Senator Hillary
Clinton is a pure act of political
censorship.

Given Google's behavior as regards its
presence in the People's Republic of
China - compliance with severe content
restrictions - this act of censorship
raises deeply serious questions.

First and foremost it raises the
question of what other pages containing
political speech not acceptable to
Google are being blocked from Google
search listings within the United
States?

PRG is seeking pro bono legal assistance
from 1st Amendment specialist attorneys
in order to open a dialogue with Google
to resove this matter.

Thanks Tron. Please don't be dismayed by the trolls, morons, fools, etc who'll follow this post. BM tribe is a wild west shoot-out sometime. There are good folks here. This is more about censorship than UFOs anyway. Heck, half the people on this tribe are UFOs. Just wait and see.......

You need to confirm the possiblities with an expert in the field of search engine optimization first. Google's methods are extremely complex and just seeing it change places doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Indeed. If the site in question used banned "black hat" search engine optimization tactics, then there is the distinct possibility that this was noticed by Google, and they were banned for using banned code rather than for political speech.

First and foremost I did SEO for almost 6 years for many high profile websites, and I promise you that the algorithms used by Google are very complex and extremely hard to understand as to exactly how website ranking in calculated.

In addition to this…. Who in the hell are you kidding?? First why would Google even bother to “censor” your letter?? This just doesn’t make sense. For one, there are plenty of “X-Files Weenies” out there to which Google could sell Alien Detection Ad-Sense Ads linked off your Government Alien Conspiracy propaganda.. Oh I mean letter. So in essence, Google has more to gain from letting your letter be ranked higher than if it were to censor it. China on the other hand is a totally different issue, Google had 2 options with China, adhere to their censorship or be banned from the country.

Oh wait, I know the issue here. Google doesn’t want the world to see your letter. If the general population saw it, then they might force the government to inform us about the Aliens, then Google would have to share the Anal probes with the rest of the country.. Those greedy Anal Probe Loving Bastards.

On a final note, rather than bothering Hillary, Obama, Molder and Scully or anyone else about the top secret anal probe stealing government officials, you really should speak to Isis who is attempting to run for president under the green party (Hopefully with Keanu Reeves as her running mate). She knows all about the government cover-ups regarding alien life forms in fact its issue number 13 on her platform.

    www.peacechief.org/MITHRA.html

Perhaps your website just needs better nerds.. Or maybe the aliens used their Orgasmatron to alter your search engine ranking in Google so that the truth of their anal probing ways won’t ever be made public.

**WARNING TO PARENTS** This is what happens to kids who watch Men in Black while doing LSD.. Just say no to Men in Black!

Google is a "for profit" company offering a free service. They make no representation and have no obligation to provide
free and open access to everything they have available. Why are you trying to make them part of the "4th branch" of government?
It might be nice if we could rely on search engines in this manner, but truthfully, censorship exists everywhere.

It might be time better spent if those who complain would put their energies into starting a "PBS" type of search engine, not obliged to
private interests. Sounds good to me.

By the way, who are you voting for? =)

You are exactly right, they are under no obligation to provide open access to their search engine, and certainly they may censor things if they want to, but considering the vast quantity of pages out there on the internet which do show up in Google and are far more controversial, I find it extremely unlikely that this particular page was censored. Furthermore, from a “First Amendment” perspective… Good luck on that one.

Yes you have freedom of speech, and you are free to publish just about anything on your website that you wish to, but that doesn’t mean that another person (Or Company) has to have anything to do with your views or your site. If Google was run by the government then maybe.. But alas it’s not..

Imagine a world where via the 1st amendment every website had to display any content that someone else would want to publish on it. For example… A pro abortion website would have to display articles written against their points of view showing that abortion should be banned from the universe and people who want or get abortions should be killed, eaten, and then thrown in jail just because someone else asserted their first Amendment rights against that site.. Most websites with public forums do some sort of censorship.

Also before the rest of the world goes and thinks that I am picking on the “UFO WEENIES” I am not. Personally I feel that it is extremely arrogant to believe that we are the only living creatures in the Universe. In fact Carl Sagan in his book “The Pale Blue Dot” offers a very good explanation as to not only why it is unlikely that we are alone in the Universe, but also he has some good explanations as to why we want to believe we are.

Not that this part is at all relevant but I am going to assert my 1st amendment rights here…

So.. Are their space Aliens? Probably, have they come to earth? Maybe, it certainly is possible. Does the Government know about them? Who Knows.. What I do know is that if they do, they shouldn’t tell us about them! We as a race are extremely suspicious of everything. Hell, Blacks, Hispanics and Whites can’t get along in this country let alone people of different religions, so what makes anyone think we would be able to get along with or even accept a Blue Anal Probe Loving Space Alien with 2 heads and tentacles? Or worse yet.. All Space Aliens might be Republicans..

I return you now to your regularly scheduled program, as I have to go get fitted for a new Bubble Wrap Suit with matching Tin Foil Hat.

    UFO's?

    Great, another incest survivor.

BTW, I'm wondering if the Paradigm Research Group would care to comment on the effectiveness of the 'thought screen helmet.'

I can answer that one.. I can assure you that since I put on my Thought Screen Helmet, I have not had a single thought in my head..

      Hope that helps... :)

Maybe you should go for the more cerebral, manly upgrade.

        tinyurl.com/5qetnf

As a young man my choice was the Mark V GraysNoMo(TM). It came with a 30 day/1 light year warranty, worked pretty well against 'abductions' and was especially effective against priests.

I'm not sure it they're still in business though.

I considered that one, but I am but a Poor lonley 34 year old man living in my moms basement playing video games and watching re-runs of the X-Files, so i couldn't afford a better one, not with the price of X-Box games and dragon cards these days!

Well, in a pinch you can wire up a vegetable steamer with a few coat hangers to come up with one of these:

            tinyurl.com/6o6ehd

If you're feeling extra sassy and want to save up and splurge a bit I recommend augmenting the coat hangers with with an inverted wire umbrella frame.

THAT will solve your problem and will assure stealth even from those massive Altairian mother ships that occasionally make their way over from constellation Aquila.

            Good luck!

OK, I searched for "hillary clinton laurance rockefeller ufo" and Google returned literally hundreds of results. If they were censoring information about UFOs, they're doing a pretty poor job of it. Especially since I saw a reference to your website in the first three or four.

I think it's more likely that those *other* 700 Google hits simply pushed yours further down in the rankings. Perhaps they pleased the Google algorithms more than your site.

I next searched for "hillary clinton laurance rockefeller ufo paranoid conspiracy ravings" and there you were, right in the #2 spot! Congratulations. I guess it's all down to how the search terms line up.
