Ok, Ok, I know this is off topic, but I feel that there are some folks here who, although I see them just once a year (if I am lucky), are good friends.
And it's always nice to share good news with friends... so here it is: My youngest daughter is engaged to a great guy!
If you are in love, or have ever been in love, check out how my future son-in-law Eric proposed to my daughter Nina.
Eric wrote a song and got my daughter's musical theater friends to help out.. many who are or who were in musicals on Broadway.

Ooooh! ooooh! I just figured out how to make this post on topic: The accordion I'm playing at the end is not the accordion I bring to Burning Man.

This is an on-topic post based on the use of the accordion. Accordions rock, and are as much a part of Burningman as the fire tuba.
Moderator hat off. -

Sun, November 25, 2012 - 6:23 PMWhy then, do I hear 'Amazing Grace' in my skull with you two cats having a duet with the bagpipes?
It was a long weekend.

Sun, November 25, 2012 - 9:58 PMYou do know that David Silverman - the fire tuba guy - was also the director of The Simpson's Movie don't you.
Seriously. -

I knew that he had some kind of connection with the Simpson's, but didn't know what the connection was.
The fiery tuba is such a cool idea. Such an iconic image. -

Re: I wanted to share
Mon, November 26, 2012 - 2:36 PMActually there's a fire tuba and a fire sousaphone; I saw the fire tuba at the Gateway Burn this last year, lighting the effigy.. What I want to see is a fire trumpet, with a virtuoso like Herb Alpert playing "Taste of Honey":

I still think that would be the perfect place for that song is the playa. -

I played that in my high school talent show at Art & Design!
Da-dum, da-da-dum, da-da daaaaah, de-dum,dum!
I'm glad no one suggested a fire accordion... since an accordion is made of lacquer, wood, plastic, bees wax and leather with little metal reeds, it would go up in smoke in a New York minute.
