Fun Facts to Know and Tell: The Pyro operator for the Marin County Fair fireworks show is none other than Dave Best. NO!! Not that Dave Best, the other one. He is a core member of Black Rock FX and worked on the following shows on the Playa, Crude Awakening, Mutopia, Rock Opera AND this year he will play a key role in the big Friday night launch of the Raygun Gothic Rocketship. We intend to use a lot of pyro AND special effects. 10:00 PM, Friday night, "BE THERE OR BE SQUARE"! Three other members of Black Rock FX are doing the Saturday night show for San Francisco. I believe it would be best seen at the foot of Van Ness. It will be a big show. The crew will have two full days of set up. Another two members of Black Rock FX were on the KFOG Kaboom show last May.
