I surely hope you're paying him royalties. You know how Gene gets if he doesn't get a cut.

I took Alf my second year as an alter ego, i'm a reserved calm person and through alf, who I discovered is a major lush and party alien, I was able to open up a little more and have fun. I started a picture adventure of him at BM which gave me more I could do at Bm.
I was happy to find that nightly he was being kidnapped and returned by morning, the kidnappers have reveled themselves and are begging me to bring him back, I will, Alf has also became a costume whore, He has his own suitcase for the trip this year containing over 30 outfits, mini backpacks that fit him, a tiny water bottle and his own BYOC for trips to the booby bar.
I love hearing about your buddies, keep it going.

Aya, the 'little buddy' I took with me to BM '09 has a story behind him. He's a stuffed rhinoceros that came in a Burger King promotion. I was gifted him by a 2-year old boy whose father I know pretty well. We had a group of people over at the father's house for dinner...good pizza, I recall, and the little boy came running out from his room....."Daddy, Daddy, I wanna meet Rhino"........

The little tyke had heard earlier in the week that Dad's buddy "Rhino" was coming over. The young man wanted to meet me because I was Daddy's friend. And he had this little rhino toy with him.....and he wanted to give it to me because I didn't have one. I was honestly touched to the heart by this little man. I told him that he could keep his toy..........and then I hear,

            "That's okay, I've got another."

His father looked at me and said, "It's all he's been talking about all week. He wanted to give the Rhino a rhino."

I accepted. The toy now occupies a place where I don't forget it, on my dashboard, to remind me daily of the power of gifting.

              awwwww! Thats awesome!
My first rubber duck in my over 3000 collection was given to me my my niece when she was about 4, .
she gave it to me after my sister had read her the Ugly Duckling story then told her that I loved ducks, and that my ducklings had died when I was 8 (raccoon killed them the first night in the outdoor pen), That baby gave me her ducky and simply said " you can have this cause you lost yours", I hugged that baby and then showed her the only picture I had of my ducklings, funny thing is she was amazed they were not yellow "giggle".
About 3000 rubber ducks later and 13 years past I still have that yellow rubber duck in a protective case as the highlight of my collection.
              sigh!

Gumby! I've got a friend that collects Gumbies so last year I took one with me and took pictures of him all over the playa...Gumby at the Man, Gumby riding an art car, Gumby drinking a cold brew etc etc etc

He also joined me at our Decomp last September. Afterwards I presented my friend with his newly playafied Gumby along with a cd of photos. Regretably I hadn't thought to get Gumby into proper playa attire, so, with this years version on its way here from Amazon, I am trying to decide if pink will be THE color for this latest version :)

Don't forget the fur!! Maybe Illiano makes something in Gumby-size...

Neon: "damn. Rhino beat me to it! "

Just wanted you to know that the mods DO occasionally watch the boards.

"All I can say is "no pants"! "

Gumby as shirtcocker........that sounds so wrong. Just imagine if Eddie Murphy was still doing the part of Gumby........

"I am Gumby, dammit! And yes, I can shirtcock whenever I want!"

                      So, so wrong.
