Wed, July 1, 2009 - 11:06 PMI had some frat boys try to walk across one of the fires I provided back in '06. I told them I really couldn't allow it because if they fell I would only be able to extinguish them but probably not save their life.
After almost an hour of pleading me to allow and threats of "I'm just gonna go for it dude"
I layed out a broiler pan on the playa and shoveled coals into it for them.
As expected they blistered the shit out of their feet, then limped off proud and happy to say they walked on coals at burning man.
stupid is as stupid does.
however if I can help a participant to realize his/her dream at burningman...
well,
let em burn! -
