One of many buzzwords on our community (drink!) "do-ocracy" stands out above the rest. A play on the word "democracy" so fitting with the America Dream theme.
To me it means if you see something that you think needs to be done, do it! Don't wait around for anybody else. It means -- and it may sound like a cliche -- be the change you want to see.
So, what does the concept of "do-ocracy" mean to you and can you give me some of examples of how you've seen do-ocracy in action, whether through your own efforts or those of others like your campmates or art projects. I'd love to hear all about it.

Re: Do-ocracy: What does it mean to you?
Thu, February 14, 2008 - 6:50 PMwell, a small example of doing what should be done...
just the other day a friend and I were driving in the mountains to go snowboarding, and we saw a fox on the side of the road.
Freshly killed, but not horribly ripped open. We took it off the highway and drove it somewhere nice, and laid it out under the trees.
Somewhere where scavengers could feed on it and not get hit. Somewhere to be laid out in respect.
Also, I caucused on super tuesday. I figured I should, so I can't complain as much. (Of course the voting system is corrupt anyway, but...) -
