We have to be careful here. There's an e-ticket, bought on the Internet, and the E-ticket, the highest grade of ticket available for the rides at Disneyland. Accept no substitutions....maybe then again, what does the Disneyland E-ticket run these days?

Good point Fido, that's one of the cons of an e-ticket, there'd be no memorabilia ticket.
BUT... I always receive a fair amount of other memorabilia from the event from all the gifting.
Which reminds me.... I need to start thinking about my gifts for this year!

Uh, I do this every year...will call. The ticket is such a little piece of history, though I wouldn't want to see the paper disappear. I don't think that the small impact of the paper is a gnat's breath to the overall waste at the burn. I look at my old tickets of concerts etc. and they are talismans of those times and places.

Last I knew, HQ had a plotter.

It could be used in a way where one of the inks could be a custom or a substance substitute that is only known and identifiable to BM staff. Pre-printed in mass and ready just before the event.

Very hard to duplicate.

Don't they already have issues with early entry? and lists?
I think it would be really hard since to print an eticket could be duplicated.. whereas the tickets now have safe gaurds..

That is, as a future normal way (ok maybe still have some real tickets for those without any e-ability) seems like a nice idea to me.

Yes, I see pros and cons, but I'd go for it.

But the general idea is I flash my (government issued) picture ID, the info is checked, eg saying I've bought 4 e-tickets, maybe I even need a printed barcode that's scanned, and me and my 3 passengers get in.

Thoughts?
