FYI for those who don't know: Class 11 is a super tough class, tough to even finish within the time limit. Mostly stock ancient machines shepherded by gritty, soulful, diehard survivor types.

Skid, ronjon, sCary, Seth, Crusty, Carrie and Scott have been working on their Class 11 entry in this November's Baja 1000. Subscribe to the Twitter stream http://twitter.com/desertdingo to follow our team as they race the full length of the Baja peninsula in a 1969 VW bug. And visit the website http://desertdingo.com to see them transform their street legal beetle to a mean racing machine.

This is another example of Burners making the world a better place: the Desert Dingos are raising money for diabetes research by doing the race as a drive-a-thon for the International Diabetes Federation. Tell your friends! The race starts on Nov. 13.
