Anyone got any advice as to what paint is good to use on leather? The last time I tried to spray paint some leather boots with silver paint it cracked off - making the boots look rather scummy and not being very playa ecofriendly.

I used to spray paint my leather boots. Just make sure they are clean and not too oiled or polished. Then just paint them every day as it wears off. I just used cheap gold spray paint. . . worked for me.

There is something called "Rub n Buff", which is basically an acrylic paint for crafts. It gives great results in leather. Just be mindful that you might not get complete coverage, especially if your boots are a dark color. However, if you use one of their metallic paints, that could be really cool. They come in all colors of the rainbow, both flat & metallics. You can get them at almost any craft store, and a small $4 tube goes a looooooong way. Good luck!
